Grayhawk is a luxury community with the familiar feel of a friendly neighborhood. Located just west of the McDowell Mountains and Pinnacle Peak, Grayhawk is comprised of more than 1,600 acres and offers the best of family and resort-style living. Two distinct neighborhoods make up the Grayhawk community: The Park and The Retreat. These combine with two championship golf courses, tennis courts, barbecue pavilions and 30 miles of jogging, biking and hiking trails to create the perfect outdoor experiences for residents.
The Park is made up of friendly neighborhoods with large homes framed by yards with wide setbacks. It boasts a 15-acre city park with playgrounds, lighted softball fields, lighted tennis courts, picnic ramadas and multi-use fields perfect for soccer, football and other sports.
The Retreat is a gated community and features many private amenities for the residents and their guests. Casual dining venues are interspersed throughout the community with tennis courts, swimming pools and miles of trails. Grayhawk’s two golf courses, The Talon and The Raptor, are also located here.
Designed by golf course architect Gary Panks and former U.S. Open and PGA Champion David Graham, The Talon offers 18 holes that wind their way past, deep box canyons, towering saguaros and many other indigenous species of plant and animal life.
The other 18 holes can be found on the par 72 Raptor course designed by Tom Fazio. This undulating course with both bunkers and water hazards can be challenging to competitive golfers of all levels.
Grayhawk Golf Club offers all the amenities you would expect from a private club without the private club price. The courses are open to both residents and guests on a daily-fee basis, so there are no additional fees for residents if you don’t play. The Club is a 7,200 square foot facility perfect for hosting meetings, dinner parties, receptions and weddings. The beautiful location, coupled with outstanding service, makes this an ideal place for any occasion.
Some of the additional public facilities in this community include a private elementary school called El Dorado, a public school, a luxury life-care retirement community and The Scottsdale Thunderbird Branch of the Boys & Girls Club. In addition to offering comprehensive youth development-health, educational and fitness related programs, this facility also includes a gymnasium, learning center, computer room, arts & crafts room, multi-purpose areas, and a before and after school program for elementary school children.View all Grayhawk Listings
